EurasiaSat-1 (TurkSat-2A) Coverage Map
Eurasiasat-1 (Turksat-2A) is a satellite purchased by joint venture Aerospatiale (belonging to Alcatel Space) and a biggest telecommunication company Turk Telekom. Commercial use of EurasiaSat-1 was started on February 2001. Orbital position – 42 E. Satellite has 20 BSS-transponders (33 MHz each) and 12 FSS-transponders (36 MHz each). Eastern beam covers Balcan peninsula on the West, European part of Russian Federation on the North and Indian peninsula on the South. On South-East the footprint reaches China.
